Placenta Encapsulation
Many cultures around the world have traditions involving the placenta of a newborn. Some cultures bury the placenta whole, others burn and then bury the placenta. Other cultures ingest the placenta, either cooked or raw. In recent years there has been an awareness of recreating traditions surrounding the placenta. I now offer placenta encapsulation services as more awareness and information is coming to light through research and first-hand accounts of the benefits awarded.
My method of encapsulation starts with the raw preparation method. This involves cleansing and draining the placenta, slicing it and then complete dehydration using heat. The dried placenta is then grinded and encapsulated. Steaming the placenta with herbs prior to dehydration, when necessary or upon request, is also available as an option. This method is typically referred to as "Tradional Chinese Preparation" however I am not Chinese and out of respect do not represent to be able to use that description. This information is for reference only. Herbs used are Raspberry Leaf, Lemon, and Ginger.
Options offered are:
Basic encapsulation with a commemorative watercolor print
Steamed/herbal encapsulation with watercolor print
Plant with buried ground placenta - as as singular option in place of encapsulation or as an add-on option

Disclaimer
At times there may be complications around processing. Those issues may involve release approval from your chosen birth location, timeliness of retrieval (your placenta must be refridgerated or processed within 4 hours after birth), or health-related complications. If a complication arises you will be consulted whenever possible and decisions made, if necessary, to alter the services based on health and safety.
